Holiday Parties Abound This Week

Where did I go last week?:

  • Press Club of Cleveland writing seminars
  • Playhouse Square Partners speed networking event: This was the first time that Playhouse Square’s young professionals group held such an event. It was similar to other speed networking events I have attended. Picked up one to two new connections. The group hopes to have another one.
  • Communicators’ Holiday Party: I was disappointed to learn several communications trade groups elected not to participate as in years past. Only about 40 people attended, including me. Made it more intimate. Glad to see Jerry Masek, a past SPJ president. He had emergency surgery only a few weeks ago. This event may be different next year.

If you attend any of the listed events, please leave a comment.
