IABC Meeting To Be On Twitter

Welcome to the last list of 2009.

The International Assoc. of Business Communicators Cleveland Chapter will hold a meeting on Twitter. Check out its website for details on how to attend the event.

This month I wanted to check out a Cleveland Professionals meeting and was denied the opportunity. This group seriously guards its guest invites. I had to submit my CV. I got  a polite denial from one of the organizers, suggesting there were other, more suitable groups. I took the suggestion to mean job clubs.

I think I went in appearing to be a beggar than a serious professional.

If you attend any of the listed events, please let us know. Also comment if this list has helped you connect.

Disappointed in the group’s attitude as you obviously have excellent credentials. They seem a bit elitist and snobbish or maybe they just want your money. It seeems they would be happy to help anyone interested in business writing.
Although my writing experience is in print journalism, I feel they should allow even me to attend a meeting with people who after all sell insurance, house paint, clothing, etc.
