01/14 Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) Akron Chapter: Navigating Through The Changing Media Landscape, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., The Martin Center, University of Akron, Akron, $30 nonmembers, http://akronprsa.org. Did not know that Akron had its own PRSA chapter.

01/19 International Assoc. of Business Communicators (IABC) Cleveland Chapter: Online Meeting Using Twitter, 2 p.m., www.iabccleveland.com. Features two communications experts and conducted on Twitter. I have attended events that interest me.

01/19 American Marketing Assoc. (AMA) Akron-Canton Chapter: Understanding The Psyche Of Suburbia: What Olive Garden Doesn’t Want You To Know, 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m., Mustard Seed Market and Cafe, Fairlawn/Akron, $40 nonmembers,www.akroncantonama.org. I have not attended this chapter’s events.

01/20 American Advertising Federation (AAF) Cleveland Chapter: Jedi Copywriter or Everything I needed To Know About Advertising I Learned From Star Wars, 11:30 a.m., Windows on the River, Cleveland, $40 nonmembers,www.aafcleveland.com.
