Chamber of Commerce After-Work Events This Week

There are three networking events this week by Chambers of Commerce for Beachwood, Twinsburg and Hudson. Sometimes free, these are good opportunities to network with small business owners.

It has been said small businesses generate employment. Although judging by last week’s jobs report, they have their feet on the brakes.

According to the media, small businesses are unable to get loans to expand and hire thanks to the credit crunch. (I’m using the cliches this week!)

Yet, you should be circulating among them. So, when they start hiring, they remember and contact you.

Check out your Chamber of Commerce website to learn if  it has a networking group or events and permit nonmembers to attend. There may be a fee, as the case with the Beachwood Chamber’s events. Also, watch this list for such events.

Here’s a comment I received from a LinkedIn follow up:

    “Hi Pat,
In my world you’re famous for providing a list of the most important networking events that are occurring in Northeast Ohio.
My friends have been posting links to your blog on various LI groups.
I decided that I’d rather follow you directly!
    Thanks for your excellent communications.
    Joyce R.”

Thanks Joyce for allowing me to share this message.
