Meeting Resource

This week, I found several events on Meetup.com, www.meetup.com. This is a great website where groups can list themselves and their meeting dates. The groups range from food, to play dates and free thinkers. There is a WordPress group, Adobe Users group, and web design and development groups.

You can narrow the list by topic, city, state, and Zip Code.

Have fun checking it out!

Where did I go last week?

Wednesday was the Simplex-IT “Lunchinar” in Hudson. Produced by a Hudson IT group, this free event features a discussion about technology for small businesses and free food. For July, it was blogging; the panel was the same one from June. I had met the panelists at other networking events the last two months. These have been well-attended and several contacts were there. Check this series out for Tech and small business contacts.

Thursday I followed up with the Nordonia Referral Networking Group. Attendance for the second meeting doubled. I went because of a project lead, which I’m still working. It will meet every two weeks and feature open networking and a “mastermind” discussion, where a member will present a business dilemma or their business for advice. Check it out on LinkedIn groups and Facebook.
